Public Health Review Morning Edition Wins National Recognition

ARLINGTON, VA—The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) daily newscast, Public Health Review Morning Edition, earned a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation Trophy from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Bronze Anvil Awards recognize outstanding public relations tactics that contribute to the success of overall programs or campaigns.

ASTHO launched Public Health Review Morning Edition in August 2021. Since its launch, the show has experienced over 100,000 downloads and has aired nearly 450 episodes. Notable guests include dozens of state and territorial health officials, reporters from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and ProPublica, members of the White House COVID-19 Response Team, former ASTHO President and current HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel L. Levine, MD, and many others. The Public Health Review Morning Edition newscast covers breaking public health news, perspectives on policy decisions, professional development opportunities, conferences, and more in about five minutes.
